The inspiration behind Together was plotting the arc of being alone to being together. Hearing the word “together” drives different images and feelings, from the romantic to an expansive sense of communal and societal unity. The journey of going from being singular to being together is paved with great hardship and also immense beauty. It is as much an abstraction as it is a real experience.

All purchases come with digital download of the album and digital download of the companion compilation book of poetry of and lyrics. The writers featured in this compilation were asked to write a verse or a poem inspired by the music of my album Together, taken as a whole concept or focusing on a singular song. This booklet is the array of ideas and inspiration that emerge from listening to the same album and thinking about the concept of being “together”.
